Baby Proof your home

It is very important to be able to Baby Proof your home to make sure that your baby is safe at all times. Always use a crib that meets safety standards, always use a safety belt when changing your baby on a changing table to avoid the child from rolling off, place a rug underneath the changing table and also the crib to avoid tripping and if you are using a night light then make sure that it is three feet away from the crib and bedding to avoid a fire hazard.
When you Baby Proof your home for a baby that is four months to a year old, do make sure that small coins and toys are kept out of your infants way to avoid choking hazards. If you have a mobile that is hanging from your child's crib then remove this as soon as they are able to reach it. If you have houseplants then make sure that this are well out of the child's reach to avoid them from eating them. Have household cleaning materials and substances locked away in a high cupboard, this also includes any sort of medication.
Make sure that you cover any electrical plug sockets with the appropriate covers when you baby proof your home so that their little fingers cannot be placed into the plug sockets to avoid them receiving a dangerous electric shock. Keep appliance cables short so that they cannot pull things down on top of them like toasters. And also make sure that you secure things like bookshelves. Children like to use these to pull themselves up and securing them will avoid things from falling onto them from higher places.
Make sure that your equipment like televisions and audio equipment is positioned correctly so that they cannot pull these down onto themselves, or off of furniture. If you have a fireplace then make sure that you purchase a guard so that you avoid the baby from burning themselves at all times.
It is so easy to Baby Proof your home and to make sure that your home is safe for your baby. It doesn't cost a lot and most of it really is common sense.
